Muchas Oportunidades de Ganar

Buenos dias a todos!

So, we are approaching the end of the nine weeks! There are projects and tests and assessments coming (oh my!).

In the 8th Grade:
  • Your project on a Latin American Poet is due on Thursday. Some won't be able to give their presentation until the next day, but be certain that you may be asked to present on Thursday and if you cannot then points will be deducted for lateness!
  • Our Unit Test will be Friday September 28th and will cover all the salient points of the past few weeks. These include:
  • If you feel like you could use some extra points on the up coming test you can go here and play an interesting battleship game concerning ser vs estar. In order to get extra credit you must beat the game on all three difficulty levels.  Doing so can get you 5 points of extra credit added onto your test. This will be due on or before the 28th.
  • Take a screen shot of each and email them or print them off. An easy way of doing this would be to tap PrtSc on your keyboard, paste it in an MS Paint file, crop it down to just the game window, then expand your canvas to add more pictures. Eventually your Paint file will look like this:
As you can see, this is just the easy game pasted twice over. You'll actually add your other games. You can also see that the computer is a bit of a cheater.

Seventh grade:
  • Your test will of course, already have happened by the time you read this, but you CAN get some extra credit added on. Go to this website and play the Rags to Riches game about tener. If you can get to the million dollar mark, take a screenshot, email it or print it off and turn it in for five extra points on your test.
  • Your picture book projects are due on the 28th.
6th Grade
  • Your writing assignment is due this Friday.
  • Your unit test is on the 28th. It will cover:
    • Adjectives (here's a review game!)
    • Body Parts (another review game! [it uses some additional vocabulary words, fyi])
    • Conversing about adjectives (yo soy, Ricardo es, etc)
    • Conversing about body parts (yo tengo, Ricardo tiene, etc.)
    • Answering questions. (como eres tu? Que tipo de ojos tienes? etc)
  • You can earn some extra credit points by answering questions about the Santiago Trail and Northern Spain. Be able to describe the following things:
    • The Camino de Santiago and the significance of scallop shells
    • The Running of the Bulls and the Festival of San Fermin
    • Galicia and gallego
So good luck! No te pares hablar español!
