7th Grade Vocabulary Assignment

Today in class you'll be finishing up your "Letter to a Pen Pal" writing assignment if you haven't turned it in already.

If you have, you'll be creating a vocabulary sheet on your computer in MS Word using the following format:

  • Set your margins to a half-inch (Narrow).
  • Title your paper "Lugares en la Ciudad" set this in the center of your paper at 20 point Georgia font
  • Press enter once and type your name in 11 point Calibri Font
  • Create a table that with four columns and five rows.
    • Pull down the anchor point at the bottom left corner and drag it down to the bottom of the page. Your table should fill up the entire page.
  • In each cell, type in the following phrases (1 term per cell). Use 11 point Calibri font:
    • la biblioteca
    • la iglesia
    • el banco
    • el correo
    • el museo
    • el aeropuerto
    • el café
    • el supermercado
    • el cine
    • el colegio
    • la universidad
    • el zoológico
    • la plaza
    • la cuadra
    • la esquina
    • el crucero
    • el semáforo
    • la calle
    • la puente
    • la callejón
    • el centro
  • Set your table's text to line up in the center of each cell.
  • Using an online translator (try www.reverso.net) figure out what the phrases mean.
  • Using Google image search, find a picture that illustrates what each word means and copy and paste it into the cell with the correct word.
    • You'll have to resize the picture to make it fit into the cell without affecting the other cells.
  • Once you have all your pictures in, resize your pictures if needed to ensure that all your cells are on ONE PAGE ONLY.
  • Finally, make all your borders disappear. Print it or save it and finish it later.

If you have, you'll be creating a vocabulary sheet on your computer in MS Word using the following format:

  • Title your paper "Expresiones de Conducir y Partes de un Coche" set this in the center of your paper at 20 point Georgia font
  • Press enter once and type your name in 11 point Calibri Font (make sure you're still centering the text)
  • Create a table that with four columns and five rows.
    • Pull down the anchor point at the bottom left corner and drag it down to the bottom of the page. Your table should fill up the entire page.
  • In each cell, type in the following phrases (1 item per cell). Use 11 point Calibri font:
    • el freno
    • el accelerador
    • la palanca
    • el volante
    • tocar la bocina
    • bajar la ventanilla
    • el parabrisas
    • el limpiaparabrisas
    • la llanta
    • el parachoques
    • la placa
    • abrir el capó
    • el baúl
    • chocar
    • estacionar
    • recibir una multa
    • revisar el aceite
    • verificar la presion de las llantas
    • las llaves

    • Pull down the anchor point at the bottom left corner and drag it down to the bottom of the page. Your table should fill up the entire page.
  • In each cell, type in the following phrases(1 word per cell). Use 11 point Calibri font:
    • leer un libro
    • correr por el parque
    • comer en un restaurante
    • ver una película
    • aprender una idioma
    • vender galletas
    • discutir con la clase
    • abrir una puerta
    • subir un árbol
    • escribir en un cuaderno
    • compartir la merienda
    • vivir en un apartamento

Spanish Cardinal Numbers Practice

Part of the NSE is knowing how to spell your numbers correctly, complete with proper accent marks. Note, they're also case sensitive, so be sure you type in all lowercase on the quizzes. The flash cards utilize some capital letters here and there.
